Naples is the city of water, home to Parthenope, the siren. Water is everywhere, not just in the sea, but under the ground, flowing through the aqueducts, which have been there since prehistory. For the city-folk, it is indispensable, whether to make coffee or to have a simple glass of water. Neapolitans never refuse anyone water, doing so is tantamount to a sin. Without water, Naples would not be Naples and pizza would not be pizza.
