The annual plenary meeting of the EBU Radio International Relations community is a unique opportunity for colleagues to exchange best practices, receive updates on EBU initiatives and discuss the impact of current challenges in the work of their departments. This meeting plays a key role in strengthening collaboration between public service organizations and ensuring the flow of information between Members and the EBU. This year the meeting is open to all International Relations professionals and will cover subjects of interest to not only the radio community, but all public service media colleagues.

Working Group Meeting: EBU Investigative Journalism Network Workshop

As in previous occasions of the Prix Italia, the meeting will bring together specialized investigative reporters from Public Service Media organizations who are members of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). They will meet for a day and a half of networking and discussion of story ideas of cross-border relevance, which could lead to journalistic collaborations. Participants will also attend sessions by the Arena Institute for Europe, a center specialized in cross-border collaborative and investigative journalism, and a workshop on generative AI and OSINT investigations.

The Legal and Policy Committee is a body elected by the Legal and Public Affairs Assembly. Its general role is to promote and defend public service media in Europe, particularly vis-à-vis the European Union, as well as to establish and implement the EBU's European legal and public affairs strategy. The committee analyzes specific topics and makes proposals on sectoral strategy; it can also formulate official positions.

Following the 2023 URTI Conference and its 75th annual General Assembly, which will be held on 07/09/2023 in Yaounde, URTI will present all the perspectives put in place in Cameroon about "The Challenges of Digitisation for the Public Media", especially in Africa and will decide with all its members and partners on the events to come for 2024, in terms of programme exchanges, workshops and coproductions.
Dopo la URTI Conference e l'Assemblea Generale a Yaounde il 7/9/2023, l'URTI presenta le prospettive discusse in Cameroon su "Le sfide della digitalizzazione nei media pubblici", specialmente quelli africani, e decide con i suoi membri e partner sugli eventi a venire nel 2024, in termini di scambi di programmi, workshop e coproduzioni.

The members of the Steering Committee of the EBU Investigative Network will meet to take stock of the group's activities during a busy 2023 and set the priorities for this network of investigative journalists for the coming months. The members of the Steering Committee of this group are the following EBU Member organizations: BBC, DR, FT, NRK, RTBF, RTE, RTVE, VRT, YLE, and ZDF. The group is chaired by Pilar Requena, from Spanish broadcaster RTVE and is coordinated by the EBU in Geneva.
