Women manipulate you, How to get the balls of the alpha male, Be tough and demanding with women… These provocatively titled videos are a hit on social networks, racking up hundreds of thousands of views. In the form of a cyber-investigation, this documentary aims to decrypt the "manosphere" and show its dangers. Our journalist, Pierre Gault, has infiltrated forums, Telegram or WhatsApp groups and private conversations. Trivialised sexual assaults, appeals for rape, misogynistic but also racist comments, harassment… His dive into the heart of macho communities is dizzying and reveals a culture of hate against women.

Masha on Russia – Best of Russische Propaganda 2023 (Masha on Russia – Best of Russian Propaganda 2023)

Direction: Vladlena Savenkova. Sound Track: Luca Pontwo. Photography: Udo Kreter. Content Manager: Masha Borzunova. Producer: Stefan Mathieu. Producing Organisation: Kobalt Productions. Production Year: 2024.

For more than two years, Russia's war has been aimed at wiping out Ukraine and perhaps even beyond. Inside Russia, state propaganda hijacks the public's perception, feeding the state's desired image of a "Western" enemy and the hunt for Nazis in Ukraine. Putin's propaganda machine always knows how to spin every event so that everything goes according to plan and the West is behind every evil. Masha Borzunova knows how to dismantle these lies. The Russian journalist in exile presents the official and often absurd propaganda view of world events to the ARTE audience. Using original material, Masha Borzunova nails the propagandists to their lies and gives us an insight into Putin's propaganda machinery. Borzunova's sharp and humorous style, supported by graphics, appeals especially to a young audience. Borzunova's annual review of 2023 shows that propaganda has not run out of topics.

In Political Pentathlon, European Parliament candidates engage in a unique competition organized by Latvian Radio 5. This event tests the candidates' abilities to cooperate and communicate with those holding different political views. Individually and in mixed-party teams, the candidates faced various tasks such as a back-signing game, deciphering Finnish phrases, demonstrating knowledge of the European Union, and articulating the values of their political parties. The participants, representing the nine most popular political forces based on recent polls, were both men and women, ensuring a gender balance. The competition's results were determined by a live audience of students and twelfth graders from Riga, who also participated in some team games.
